Youth.gov.hk enriches contents to meet youth’s needs
Youth.gov.hk released on 7 July 2016 findings of a research “Youth’s View on Obtaining Information Related to Entrepreneurship” completed earlier. The Research finds that 55% respondents aged between 15 and 35 regard entrepreneurship as a viable career option. However, a majority of those interested in entrepreneurship indicate that they lack sufficient knowledge and skills for starting their businesses, and have difficulties in locating crucial online information especially on “market intelligence”, “channels for network building”, “channels for financing”, “entrepreneurship experience sharing” and “legal consultation”.
Youth.gov.hk, administered by the Efficiency Unit, has developed a new section “Starting a Business” to enrich, consolidate and reorganise relevant information to meet youth’s needs identified. The section includes a start-up checklist, ways to source capital, business tips for start-ups, and courses which youth can get prepared for starting their own businesses.
